New York State Police stopped a vehicle on I-287 in the town of Greenburgh for a traffic violation just before midnight on Sunday, Nov. 24.
Further investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Ravi Gudhka, 38, of Equinunk, Pennsylvania, was driving while intoxicated, police say.
Gudhka was also traveling with a 10-year-old and a 14-year-old child in the car, police say.
Gudhka was arrested, transported and processed at SP Tarrytown, where police say he refused to submit to a chemical breath test.
The children were turned over to a responsible party, according to police.
Gudhka was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, a Class E felony. He was released to a sober third party and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Greenburgh Court on Friday, Dec. 6.
